Karachi, Sindh — The Director General (DG) of Health Sindh has released the latest daily report on the province’s dengue situation, maintaining that the outbreak is "completely under control," despite an ongoing rise in new infections.

The report details that a total of 3,328
people were tested for dengue across government and private laboratories in
Sindh, resulting in 260 new positive cases. Of these, 147 positive cases
were confirmed by labs in the Karachi Division, and 113 by labs in the
Hyderabad Division.
Hospital Admissions and Recoveries
New Admissions: 43 new
dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals, and 34 new cases were
reported in private hospitals, bringing the daily total to 77 new admissions.
25 new patients were admitted
to government hospitals in the Karachi Division.
9 new patients were admitted
to government hospitals in the Hyderabad Division.
Total Admitted Patients:
The current number of dengue patients admitted across all hospitals in the
province stands at 71.
Recoveries: 42 patients
were discharged from government hospitals, and 45 patients recovered in private
hospitals, totaling 87 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Fatalities: Crucially, the
report confirms that no dengue-related deaths were reported across the
province in the last 24 hours.
Official Appeal
The DG Health Sindh concluded the report
by appealing to the public to play their part in prevention. Citizens are urged
to keep their homes and surroundings clean, strictly avoid allowing stagnant
water to accumulate, and rigorously follow all dengue prevention measures.
