Telenor Brings SIM Buying to WhatsApp
Telenor Pakistan has taken a big digital step by introducing a WhatsApp-based service that lets users buy new SIMs, replace lost ones, and subscribe to bundles in just a few taps. It’s fast, safe, and you don’t even have to visit a store.
Now, getting a new SIM is as simple as sending a message. Customers just need to open WhatsApp and chat with Telenor’s official number 051 111-345-100. From there, they can choose their city, preferred number, and bundle, share their details, make the payment, and that’s it—the SIM will be delivered right to their doorstep.
When the SIM arrives, biometric verification will be done at delivery, keeping everything secure and fully compliant with regulations.
Telenor’s Goal: Convenience and Digital Access for All
Waqas Amanullah, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Telenor Pakistan, said the company wants to make digital services more accessible for everyone.
“We’re proud to lead digital innovation in Pakistan. By allowing SIM purchases and bundle management through WhatsApp, we’re giving customers an easier and faster way to stay connected.”
This step shows Telenor’s vision of making connectivity simpler and more inclusive, reaching both urban and semi-urban users.
Where the Service Is Available
The WhatsApp SIM purchase and replacement service is already up and running in more than 20 cities, including:
• Lahore
• Karachi
• Islamabad / Rawalpindi
• Multan
• Peshawar
• Faisalabad
The bundle recharge option, however, is available all across Pakistan, so anyone with WhatsApp can use it.
A Step Toward a Smarter, Connected Future
With this move, Telenor has made getting or managing your SIM as easy as chatting with a friend. It’s a major step toward digital convenience, giving users more control, comfort, and confidence—all from their phones.
